York's top five runners, led by senior Michael Stetson, crossed the finish line within a seven-second time span to place 6th thru 10th overall and win the team championship at the season-opening Misericordia Invitational. The Spartans scored 40 team points to edge host Misericordia (45) for the crown in the nine-team event. Other top performances were by Christopher Newport and Salisbury, which both finished third in their respective invitationals.
